Amanda & Kevin’s wedding and reception was held at the beautiful Michael J. Colligan Lodge at the Veteran’s Park in Hamilton OH.  It’s a beautiful stone building that made a lovely background for pictures and for the ceremony.  Thank you Amanda and Kevin for having me capture your big day.  It was a beautiful wedding with perfect weather and a wonderful bridal party to spend the day with.

Rock that Dress Session

Most people have heard of Trash the Dress Sessions… I prefer to call it Rock that Dress!

 This session is designed for brides and grooms to get dressed up again and have a little more fun!  Do you really have to “trash” your dress?  Absolutely not!   Look at it as a way to go places that weren’t possible on the day of your wedding or if it was rainy use it as a way to add some variety to your wedding portraits.

 This session is a great opportunity to let your personality show and get creative!  Wear some cowboy boots and stand or lay in a field or in a barn.  Stand in a creek, check out a junk yard, ride a bike.   You can get a little funky with your outfit, makeup, hair, accessories and not worry about getting dirty before your ceremony!

 Guys, instead of renting a tux, wear a pair of jeans and a jacket, some comfy shoes or crazy socks.  Relax and have fun!  This is a chance for you to be yourself and get some amazing shots!

 Even if we didn’t shoot your wedding, we can certainly add a different style to your wedding collection in some out of the ordinary locations.

What can I say about my session with Joe & Vicki! I loved every single image!  I had such a great time working with both of them.  It’s always such an honor to be asked to capture images of such a special time for your friends!  I had a great time and I can’t wait until September for your wedding day!

We started out at at the beautiful formal gardens at Miami University in Oxford. 

After the garden’s we headed to a bean field.  I absolutely L-O-V-E them!  The golden field is gorgeous and who doesn’t love a red barn and trees!  Thanks for this great location!  It was perfect!

I think these two are just perfect!  You can just see how much love they have for one another!

I had the pleasure of working with Anne & Danny at the beginning of the year when we shot their engagement session by a frozen waterfall.  I knew then that their wedding day would be a fun, beautiful day filled with love…. and I was right!   Anne and Danny are two of the sweetest couples I’ve met and had a perfect wedding filled with loving family and friends that were as sweet and fun as the bride and groom!  Thank you so much to both of you for sharing your day with me! 

This was a wonderful trumpet duet made up of the bride’s dad and groom’s brother!

The groom surprised the bride with a song!  Absolutely wonderful job Danny and guys!  What a sweet surprise for Anne!

What a fun bridal party!  These guys were so much fun to work with!

I was honored to be part of Chrissy & Andy’s wedding day this past month.  I have known Chrissy for quite some time and have gotten to know Andy over the past year!  They are such a sweet and loving couple!  They are both very crafty, artistic and outdoorsy and they showed this through their beautiful wedding in the woods {or what I like to call the enchanted forest, lol} and through little details that they included in both their wedding and reception. Thank you so much Chrissy & Andy for having me capture your day for you! 

 

Just love all the crafty details!  How adorable are the signs and the wood table number!?!

LOVE!  What a great way to end the ceremony!  We took a little hike down to the creek and they made this adorable sign for a great Thank You card idea!
